Tehran Rug-200826 There was a short lived production of very fine rugs in Tehran, the Persian capital, in the 20th century. This very finely knotted example has a four arm large central element in a “bookcover” layout. The predominant colors are medium blue and ivory, with a delicate complex floral pattern and small vermiculate cloud bands. The same execution of design extends to the abrashed blue main border.
